I came across this quote today and it reminded me of something somebody once said to me. The quote was, "And the day came when the risk to remain tight in a bud was more painful than the risk it took to blossom."

-Anais Nin

At one point of my life I was going through some big changes. I wasn't sure who I was, where I was going, or even what my purpose was in life. I was content to stay the way I was, although I was unhappy, probably because humans are so resistant to change. Even if it means staying in a miserable state. So I was facing this big change in my life wondering if it was worth the effort, and Susan said to me, "Is it harder to change, or is it harder to stay the way you are right now?" And I thought, "Wow, staying like this forever would really suck." So I made the necessary changes in my life and have never looked back. When I read this quote today it brought back all those feelings of strength and courage, and made me feel excited all over again.

My Purpose For This Blog
